SPRING BREAK CAMP INFORMATION

DATES:               MARCH 25 - 28, 2008

LOCATION:        HIGH POINT UNIVERSITY CAMPUS
                      Vert Soccer and Track Stadium

TIME:                   9 am - 12 noon

Age-Appropriate Exercises:
We will incorporate age-appropriate exercises into each day of our camp. Each child will be
challenged to their fullest regardless of level or previous playing experience. Our staff is very
sensitive to the needs and success of every level and we will make adjustments as necessary to
insure a quality experience.

Technical Topics:
Since technique is the foundation of the game and essential to the success of the player, we will
address the following areas of the technical aspect of the game in our curriculum:

1) Dribbling
2) Passing and Receiving
3) Heading
4) Finishing

We will place the players into an environment where they are rehearsing the particular technique
of the day while not under pressure so they will experience success, then place them into a
match-realistic situation where they must perform them while under pressure. These
match-realistic situations will require them to think and act in an environment they will see in an
actual game.

Tactical Topics:
Taking the technical topic of the day, we will place the players into small and large group settings
to enable them to utilize each technique while learning more about the structure of the game itself.
We will address the following topics where age appropriate:

1) Individual and Small Group Defending
2) Individual and Small Group Attacking
3) Transitioning

Our goal is to give the players a comprehensive experience that allows them to play the game and
learn to make decisions on their own. By the end of the camp, it is our hope that the player walks
away with new ideas and perspectives that they can take home with them and continue to use on
a daily basis to improve their level.

              12:00 p.m.                                       Half-Day Campers Depart

Costs:

All campers are required to submit a non-refundable $50.00 deposit postmarked on or before
Friday, 15 March, 2008, and will be subtracted from the total costs below:

                                      Camp Tuition                        $90.00 per camper

Each camper will receive an HPU Soccer Camp T-Shirt!
